Rescued from Trafficking

Ivone, 4, was rescued from trafficking after she was abandoned by her mother. She was about to be smuggled to another country. Instead, Shadow Mountain Children’s Home was able to save her. When she arrived, she was terrified, looked very sick, abused and starved. Pretty quick, her condition worsened. She was extremely sick and needed immediate assistance. We worked quickly to share this with our supporters, and an anonymous $2,270 donation was given. Ivone only needed $70 to save her life, today, she is a healthy girl - attends school and is happy. That donation and others will continue to save lives from the desperation like Ivone experienced.
