Rescue Unit

Rescued, abandoned and lost children must go through the police station before they are reconnected with their families or allocated into the suitable children's home. Unfortunately, this is a protocol that we dread - yet necessary for investigation and state regulations. The children stay in the same cells as the adults, an inhuman situation as they end up sleeping on the floor and the cells are without toilets. We worked with the police station to set up a unit dedicated to children, with all the minimum basic requirements the children need, in hopes to minimize the pain and trauma as much as possible.
